Custom furniture manufacturing: what to know before you order

Custom furniture is a supply chain, not a workshop favour: engineering review, material scheduling, prototype approval and staged QC are what make a custom order arrive on time. Grain matching is done panel by panel: on drawer fronts and table tops we align the figure so the surface reads as one continuous flow.

Construction, in specification terms

We source walnut, teak, oak and cherry in FSC-certified batches and can mill to the tone your FF&E schedule specifies. Solid hardwood stock is kiln-dried to the target moisture ratio before joinery, so the legs stay true through shipping and through dry hotel HVAC seasons. Finish options include natural oil, matte lacquer, ebonised stain, smoked or fumed finish, custom stain matched to a physical sample.

Options and customisation

Every custom furniture is manufactured to order in Foshan, China: dimensions, materials and finishes follow your project brief rather than a fixed catalogue size. Standard options cover natural oil, matte lacquer, ebonised stain, smoked or fumed finish, custom stain matched to a physical sample, and mixed-material builds are quoted from the same drawing set. Sample confirmation is part of the process - you approve a physical prototype before bulk production, with no minimum order quantity for bespoke work.

Maintenance notes

Keep the piece out of direct afternoon sun to slow natural toning of the timber. Wipe with a barely damp cloth and reseal with furniture wax once or twice a year.
